To create a better product...

I joined the company in March 2015 as a diamond wire manufacturing staff.

Currently, as a group manager at the Fukushima Plant in the Production Division, I am in charge of manufacturing and production control of diamond wire. When I joined the company, I remember that I was struggling to learn how to maintain the equipment. While remembering, I tried to find improvement plans and make more stable products. Even today, I continue to work with the production staff and my supervisors to make better products and to ask myself, "How can we make further improvements? This attitude has not changed.

Diamond wire is used as a tool to cut solar panels that produce renewable energy. It makes me proud to think that we are manufacturing a product that has a significant impact on improving the global environment.

Through my 2-year experience, I believe it is important all staffs on the site think thoroughly to solve the various issues based on the Company Motto - What Beholds the Future -. While sometimes receiving the customers’ sharp evaluations, I try to respond their expectations through improving my work level day by day

In addition, internal activities are actively carried out across bases and departments. I think it is a great opportunity to communicate with people at the plant that I don't usually have the chance to meet.

In the future, I would like to do my best to connect my experience and knowledge to the growth of young human resources. I hope that I can learn together with them, sometimes in a fun way and sometimes by giving them challenges.

To keep growing.

I joined the company as a 44th employee in April 2018.

Currently, I am working on the inspection process as a manufacturing staff at Fukushima Factory. My main job is to inspect the appearance, wire diameter, and strength of diamond wires. Since some of the products are thinner than a human hair, I try to pay enough attention not to miss any problems in appearance such as rust. In addition, I am also in charge of receiving diamonds and front-end processes for new products. In this way, I am able to play an active role in multiple fields without being confined to a single task, and I am experiencing the joy of learning work.

READ Co. also offers a wide range of in-house activities, such as seminars to acquire qualifications and skills necessary for work. I also recently acquired a QC certification. It is not an individual activity, but a group effort with all the members working toward the same goal, which makes me feel "let's work harder" and "let's grow together. This is my fourth year in the company. I still have a lot to learn and I don't know what I don't know yet, but I am not afraid of making mistakes, and I want to keep the company motto, "Now, then, what next?

A workplace where each employee can grow

I joined the Fukushima Plant in February 2018 as a diamond wire manufacturing staff.

Currently, as a foreman, I am in charge of manufacturing and progress management of diamond wires, and I am also involved in the launch of new products that will be transferred to the Fukushima Plant. I have been learning many things everyday.

I believe that READ is a company that properly evaluates the efforts of individuals and small groups (organizations). For example, READ has an "Improvement Proposal System" as part of its business improvement activities, and an average of more than 1,000 improvement proposals are submitted by all plants every year. The system provides cash prizes if the improvements proposed by the employees are effective and if the number of proposals submitted is large. Small group activities in the workplace are also very active, and there is a system in which each small group, including 5S, can receive an award if its effectiveness is recognized for the goals it has set for improving work efficiency.

The company also actively encourages employees to acquire qualifications, and holds in-house seminars for QC certification and hygiene manager certification, making it an easy place for each employee to improve their skills.

Because the company evaluates each employee individually, employees are encouraged to work harder and think positively about what to do next. I think that's why I can work positively. I would like to work harder to improve my skills and become a person that everyone can trust and rely on. If you are interested in what kind of company READ is... let's apply for a job first!
