A Rewarding Job

When I joined the Niigata Plant 32 years ago, I think cell phones were not widespread and there were no notebook PCs. At that time, I think I said that it would be impossible to mass produce products of 0.1mm or less in our factory. Many years have passed since then, and electrical appliances have continued to evolve day by day, aiming for higher performance and more compact size, with recording media going from VCRs to HDD recorders, video equipment going from CRT televisions to LCD screen televisions, and telephones going from flip phones to smartphones. Looking back, our products have also evolved to keep pace with these advances in science and technology. We went from metal/resin multi-blades to DCC/HAL multi-blades, and blade thicknesses of around 40μ became the norm. Every time a new product was released, we struggled with tighter dimensional tolerances, and it sometimes took several days from the time the product was delivered to our process until it was completed. During those few days, I would think, "I can't do it," or "It's impossible," but at the same time, I would also wonder, "What should I do to complete it? " and "I will finish it today! " But when the product is finally completed, I feel an inexpressible sense of accomplishment and joy. It has been several decades since I moved to the final process of integration and adjustment. I am grateful to be able to feel a sense of accomplishment in my daily work and to be able to do a job that is worthwhile. It is a challenging company to work for.

human resources who can contribute to the company.

I joined the company in 2018 and was assigned to the current packing and sintering process in September after completing my training. In the process, I am mainly responsible for packing and sintering metal blades and removing bends in the high-temperature furnace. I have felt a sense of accomplishment in my work at many times. So, I would like to introduce two examples that have left a strong impression on me. The first was when I became accustomed to the work after I was assigned to it, and I was able to do the whole series of work from the preparation stage to the end of the work by myself for the first time. In retrospect, it may not have been a big deal, but I still vividly remember the indescribable sense of accomplishment I felt at that time, as if I had somehow become a full-fledged member of the team. The second is when a huge amount of product (hundreds of sheets) come to my process, which I still experience occasionally. I decided on the work arrangements, filled the molds, and sintered them. Basically, it is a repetition of this process, and I check the quality and quantity by looking at the pile of products after sintering. I feel a sense of relief and accomplishment at the same time when all the products are safely delivered to the post-process, which gives me a great feeling. My goal for the future is to become a multi-talented worker. Currently, I am mainly working on metal blade stuffing and sintering, but in the near future, I would like to master not only all the other processes, but also all the processing techniques for all the products we handle at the factory, in order to improve my skills. Finally, I am going to continue to make further efforts with the goal of becoming "human resources who can contribute to the company."

Still in beginning.

I joined the company in April 2020. I belong to the Manufacturing Engineering Section of the Niigata Plant. My main duties include maintenance of production equipment and improvement of work methods. My main duties include maintenance of production equipment and improvement of work methods. When I see a broken piece of equipment, whether it is a large piece of equipment or a small piece of equipment that has stopped working, being restored by my own hands, I say, "Yes! I did it! “ I'm so happy that I can't help but exclaim. Especially when I've been working on it all day, the sense of accomplishment is doubled by the time and effort I've put in. However, there are still some things that I cannot handle from start to finish by myself, so in such cases, I consult with my senior employees and supervisors for advice. I think one of the best things about READ is that I can easily ask for advice from the people around me when I need it. The atmosphere in the company is very good, and it is very easy to work with senior employees and supervisors because they are always willing to help me with any questions or concerns I may have. In addition, I am able to learn things that I did not know and how to optimize my work, which greatly expands my knowledge and wisdom. My goal for the future is to create a safe, secure, and efficient factory. First of all, I would like to achieve this goal by steadily carrying out my daily tasks, such as equipment maintenance, and moving forward one day at a time, one year at a time.
